The Small Print
Hire prices range from £25 – £125 for an agreed period. Payment for the hire must be made at the time of booking.
You will be asked to sign an agreement at the time of booking. If the hat is lost, stolen or damaged (including any dents, fraying, loss of decoration or water damage) the amount payable is the value of the hat plus an extra hire charge.
Credit card details will be taken as a form of deposit and any charges will only be deducted after discussion with the hirer.
If hats are not returned within the agreed period, an extra hire charge may apply. If a hat leaves The Dress Room it is considered a hire even if not worn.
Once a hat is reserved refunds will only be given for cancellation made within 24 hours. Customers who change outfits and wish to change hats will be required to pay an additional fee of £20 for any further consultations.
Hats can be trimmed and customised with feathers, flowers or bows to make them bespoke to your outfit. The cost of which will be confirmed during your consultation and must be paid for at the time of booking. Trimming fees are non-refundable should you wish to cancel your hire.
Deposits for bespoke hats for hire or bespoke commission are non-refundable once the order is placed.
Postage & Returns
Hired hats can be posted upon agreement. Postage will be via Royal Mail next day delivery (with insurance) and is added to the hire charge. The return postage is the responsibility of the hirer and must be via Royal Mail special delivery insured up to the value of £500. Hats and hat boxes must be returned in the same condition as they are received otherwise a charge will be applicable. All details, payment and contracts must be completed before hats are posted.
Hats/headpieces are very vulnerable to rain water and will be damaged if wet. Care should be taken in the rain and headpieces should be kept under an umbrella at all times.
